Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Rankora is a gamified habit & task tracker for teens. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Rankora you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account & identity. A display name and a PIN (stored only in hashed form). If you choose Google Sign-In, we receive your Google email address, name, profile image, and Google account ID to create and secure your account.
- App activity. The quests and tasks you create and complete, your XP, coins, crystals, streaks and streak shields, clans and clan membership, achievements, cosmetic unlocks, and calendar entries. We store your device time-zone offset so daily streaks roll over on your local day.
- Advertising. Rankora offers optional rewarded ads (“watch an ad for coins”) served by Google AdMob. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect a device advertising identifier and related information to serve, cap, and measure ads.
- Notifications. With your permission, Rankora schedules local reminders on your device. Reminder times are stored on your device.
We do not collect precise location, your contacts, photos, or payment information. Rankora has no in-app purchases — coins and crystals are earned in the app only.
How we use information
- To create your account and save your progress across sessions.
- To run quests, streaks, clans, seasons, ranks, and achievements.
- To show optional rewarded ads and grant the associated in-app coins.
- To send the reminders you enable, and to keep the app secure.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with service providers that operate the app:
- Google — for Google Sign-In (authentication) and Google AdMob (serving ads).
- Vercel — hosting for the Rankora application.
- Neon — the managed Postgres database that stores your account and app data.
Children and teens
Rankora is designed for teenagers (ages 13 and up) and is not directed to children under 13. Ads are configured with age-appropriate content settings. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us. Rankora also provides an encrypted backup/restore code that you control, so you can move or recover your own data.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, PINs are stored hashed, and backup codes are encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices
- You can decline or revoke notification permission at any time.
- Rewarded ads are optional — you never have to watch one.
- You can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.
- You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
